It seems like our horses are really loving The Valley! After the success of last weekend, Mutinous lined up with jockey Jye McNeil in the final of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge alongside some decent types.

All he had to do was either win, or have the rest of the field go slower than the time he and jockey Brian Park set all the way back on December 2nd, 2022 of 54.93 seconds to hang on to the title of the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge winner for season 2022/23.
Jye had him in the box seat, but alas he was overtaken on the turn and finished fourth as we all held our breath to see what the clock would show. After a short wait, a time of 56 second was displayed and a relieved and excited EJ was smiling to the cameras – his charge had done it!
For those unaware, the Ladbrokes 55 Second Challenge is a pure test of speed over 955 metres. The fastest horses in Australia will go head-to-head to see which horse can break the 55 second mark across the 2022/23 Ladbrokes Friday Night Lights Season.
