They say patience is a virtue, and it sure paid off in spades (or stripes) yesterday when Pinstriped, the 4YO gelding son of Street Boss, blew them away in the IRT VOBIS Gold Mile at Sandown. Ridden by jockey Ben Allen, Pinstriped handled the soft track and took off down the straight to win by over 3 lengths over his fancied rivals.

On the 7 day back up following last weekends run in the Victoria handicap, and heading in as the odds on favourite, Pinstriped showed his class blowing the opposition away with a more positive ride from Ben Allen positioning him one back and keeping him off the worst part of the track.

Following a minor hiccup 2 weeks ago whereby Pinstriped banged his leg and had to be rested for a few days, EJ and the team had him set to peak for this run at Sandown, and he certainly didn’t disappoint.
